FOUR PAWS welcomes Joe Moran as new Director of European Policy Office

Global animal welfare organisation announces new EPO director

1.12.2022

Brussels, 1 December 2022 – Joe Moran succeeds Pierre Sultana as new Director of the European Policy Office of FOUR PAWS.

Joe Moran

As a public affairs professional, Joe brings sixteen years of advocacy and campaigns experience to FOUR PAWS, having previously served as Political Affairs Manager at Eurogroup for Animals. He has also worked as lobbyist for the British RSPCA in Brussels and as political assistant to elected representatives at the European Parliament and UK House of Commons.

Gerald Dick, Chief Programme Officer at FOUR PAWS says: “We are glad to welcome Joe Moran as the new director of the FOUR PAWS European Policy Office in Brussels. His nomination comes at a pivotal moment, as the European Commission gears up to unveil several major legislative proposals on animal welfare, including live animal transport and slaughter, and sustainable food systems. Joe’s excellent expertise in the fields of campaigning and lobby work with different EU institutions will further advance FOUR PAWS’ work of improving animal welfare frameworks and regulations.”

Joe notes he is “looking forward to this new chapter at FOUR PAWS, and to continuing to fight for the interests of animals within EU policy. It’s even more exciting in view of the new proposals that are expected next year. I look forward to playing my part, with the talented team here at FOUR PAWS, to ensure we can do all we can to make sure that these are the most ambitious proposals possible, and that Europe continues to lead the world in animal welfare.”
